During Ramadan, UAE governmental entities and authorized individuals will accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for donations, as confirmed by a top official. Unauthorized collection of funds during Ramadan may lead to fines up to Dh500,000 or imprisonment, according to the Ministry of Community Development. Only 34 approved entities, including charitable organizations and government bodies, can receive donations, which can be made through various methods, including Bitcoin, cash, and vouchers.
