Tezos protocol’s 16th upgrade, Paris, has gone live, promising millions of transactions per second (TPS) on its layer-2 (L2) scaling solutions. The upgrade aims to enhance speed and scalability, particularly evident in Etherlink, Tezos’ EVM-compatible L2 network, now boasting lower fees and improved user experience. The introduction of Tezos’ Data Availability Layer (DAL) further propels L2 throughput potential beyond one million TPS, addressing the industry-wide blockchain trilemma.
