Pi Squared, a startup founded by University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign computer science professor Grigore Rosu, has raised $12.5 million in a seed round led by Polychain Capital. The company leverages zero-knowledge technology to enable “trustless remote computing” and other blockchain applications, including AI. The funding will be used to expand their product offerings, including the development of a “Universal ZK Circuit” for verifiable computing across multiple programming languages and virtual machines.
